Ludwigia Palustris (Green)

Just like Ludwigia Repens, Ludwigia Palustris is an excellent choice for any aquascape. As far as stems go, this species is relatively undemanding given that CO2 is not required (but always helps). A basic planted tank setup should give you success with this species provided you have medium light and nutrients available within the water column. Unlike Ludwigia Repens, we find that this species tends to branch more readily! It also has a tendency to produce narrower leaves underwater.

Our Ludwigia Palustris is grown in house! The genetics we have tend to produce more green than red, though under very high light and CO2 reds may be possible.

Photos shown are for illustration purposes only. Plants vary in size.

Please note: plants from the genus Ludwigia are on the fragile side. Please handle with care and plant as soon as possible to ensure best results with Ludwigia species.

- Plant each stem deep into the substrate to allow roots to develop and anchor the plant.

- Once anchored, cut the stems to encourage a more bushy appearance, or let them grow tall to create a beautiful backdrop in any aquarium.

- Whenever you cut this plant as mentioned above, make sure to replant the cut portions. This will allow you to propagate this species quickly!

Plant Characteristics:

Difficulty - Medium
